Tim Schaap is an artist and designer.  With the launch of Defekt Company in 2016, the iconic character Birdman was created—an awkward, bird-like figure depicted alongside numerous other characters. With a strong use of color and a wide array of themes, many adventures have been captured in illustrations, comics, and paintings.

Following his studies at KABK (Interior Architecture and Furniture Design) in The Hague, Tim expanded his artistic practice to encompass various media, focusing on illustration, photography, and objects. In his current work, Tim primarily explores the relationship between society and technology, examining how social behavior is transformed. These pieces often encapsulate complex internal emotions.
