María is an illustrator and designer currently based in Rotterdam. Before that, she lived, studied, and worked in Madrid, Barcelona, and Berlin.

She has worked mainly in editorial illustration for various printed and digital media, but also on book covers, illustrated maps, or for music labels.

In 2023 she was awarded a comic grant by the Berlin Senate to work on her first graphic novel: Nepenthes.
