Chaeyoung Kim is an artist and researcher currently based in the Netherlands with an interest in bringing people together. Her artistic practice is informed by means of illustration, physical props, self-publishing, and hosting. More recently, she has been conducting research on humor, intimacy, and community building—supported by a series of publishing acts, which she conceptualizes as 'intimate publishing’.

She uses her illustration skills to facilitate group activities, document events, address political issues, build stronger communities, and connect different disciplines.
